creamy mango protein smoothie

I had a perfectly ripe mango sitting in my fridge, basically begging to be used. With temperatures climbing and summer in full swing, I was craving something cool, refreshing, and satisfying. That’s when inspiration struck for this creamy mango protein smoothie. What I love about this recipe is that it delivers a protein boost without any powder – just wholesome Greek yogurt doing the heavy lifting. The result is a sunshine-yellow treat that tastes like dessert but takes just 5 minutes to whip up. It’s become my go-to for busy mornings, post-workout refueling, or anytime I need a quick tropical escape. This smoothie is sweet, creamy, and exactly what you need to beat the summer heat!

Making a Creamy Mango Protein Smoothie

This smoothie couldn’t be easier to make, which is exactly what you want when the temperature rises and you need something refreshing fast. The whole process takes just 5 minutes from start to finish.

First, you’ll need to peel and chop your mango. If you’ve never cut a mango before, don’t worry – it’s simple once you know how. Slice off the sides around the flat pit in the center, score the flesh in a grid pattern without cutting through the skin, then scoop it out with a spoon. For this recipe, you’ll need about one medium-sized mango to get your cup of fresh fruit.

Once your mango is prepped, simply add it to your blender along with the ice, milk, Greek yogurt, and sweetener. I use monk fruit sweetener because it’s natural and has zero calories, but honey or maple syrup work beautifully too if you prefer. The Greek yogurt is the secret ingredient here – it adds protein and creates that luxurious creamy texture without any protein powder.

Blend everything until smooth, which usually takes about a minute. Pour into your favorite glass, and for an extra special touch, garnish with some additional chopped mango and a few fresh mint leaves. The presentation makes it feel like a treat from a fancy juice bar, but you made it yourself in minutes! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a day, though it’s definitely best enjoyed fresh. Enjoy!
