Equipment

  • Handheld Milk Frother

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 shots freshly brewed espresso
  • Fresh ice
  • 6 to 8 oz milk of choice
Brown Sugar Cold Foam
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1.5 tsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp pure maple syrup

Instructions

  • Add one tablespoon of brown sugar, half a tablespoon of maple syrup, a pinch of salt, and two hot shots of brewed espresso to your serving glass.

  • Fill the glass to the top with fresh ice cubes. Pour in your milk of choice, leaving about an inch or two of space at the top of the glass for the foam.
  • In a small glass or measuring pitcher, combine one teaspoon of brown sugar, heavy cream, one and a half teaspoons of milk, and half a teaspoon of maple syrup.
  • Submerge a handheld milk frother into the liquid and froth for 20 to 30 seconds until the mixture expands into a thick, velvety cold foam.
  • Slowly pour or spoon the brown sugar cold foam over the top of the iced latte and serve immediately.
